nice arvo....

spent test riding the 50 before she goes home next monday....mixtures, (i think that ram tube is tumbling that air/fuel mixture weird at mid throttle), what a sweet bike though...that 3 degrees in rake is wonderful at 70mph....

G'day Matt,

I've been following your blog for a while. Like everone else out there, I loved what you did with The Guzzi. Mates have said i should never be allowed within spitting distance of spanner but have you thought of fitting a carb splitter to smooth out the airflow?
something like this:http://www.suzuki-rg500.com/carb.htm

Cheers
Brett.

hey brett... thats a nice idea....i thought of fitting a splitter like that to the 50 ...it has that ram tube facing out towards the incoming airflow (sort of 10 oclock) and while that may be good running a quarter mile i think its been causing the front cylinder to run lean....maybe some more testing is necessary.

what we did find the other day was a slight crack in the inlet manifold...ive welded it up and we are seeing now whether that was affecting things. it only seemed to open up once the manifold gets hot...

so will see what happens over the next couple hundred kms.....

take it easy mate.
