when i first finished it.....i have not ridden it for almost year after i broke a belt and decided to pull it off the road to make some changes.....(small changes that turned into big plans). im close to pulling it apart...i miss the sound of that baby pan EL.

almost there with mikes wl....i painted the tanks and fender about two months ago.....so i blocked them back and hit them with a couple more coats of clear....

they came up real nice...straight off the gun in acrylic they almost don't need polishing.....

maggy all timed and ready for action...hoping to kick it over by sunday afternoon....cant wait to hear this one go.

nice ride on the weekend with my girl....

and yes it made it to town for a full tank of gas. ready for 2000kms this weekend?.....not with that busted brake cylinder on the way home...... quote..."shovels.....ride a bit.....tinker a bit".

couldn't find any good original 74 calipers for the front end i have....so i thought i'd use some period ducati brembo calipers instead......i milled about 3mm off each fork leg mounting lug. i will make up a plate to pick up the other mount point.

matched with a new brembo master cyl it will probably stop a lot better anyway.

when it works aesthetically...

last weekends ride....

should have been named the tighten your nuts and plug in your wires run... sportster wires loose..no spark, shovel chainguard nuts loose and chain digging flapping guard bouncy bouncy, and no bouncy bouncy on mark IV le mans guzzi when rear shock bolt backs out....

got to see the 50 pan again and fit one of Kims (BCM) sexy filters in tumbled finish...matches the bead blasted fork legs beautifully....

....then rode home and stopped to see the Tianjara Falls....some beautiful country

all stripped, bits sent to chromers, powdercoaters, ceramic coating the exhaust .... cant wait to ride this one....get ready mike.

looking for a set of calipers.....

new repro ones or good working set (left and right) for this front end. Was originally fitted to my 74 FX shovel and i'm gonna reinstate it......let me know if anyone has a set...thanks.

the little stuff... all afternoon....

....never done a brake setup like this before but ive had multiple ducatis with a cable set up so it should work here too....

....i used a couple of old lever perches to mount adjusters etc off frame rails....seem to work really well so ill just clean them up and send them for chroming.....

...and an old alloy lever cut up and welded to the foot control for pulling action.

but earlier in the day i did do this....early morning fun.
