I have to agree with your comments to Caleb. Especially about local environments. It seems that the 'ship from one country to process in another and then back for sale in the country it started' runs parallel with the concept of destroying a whole crop just to keep the profit margin up. I think we'll see more DIY creations out of necessity as resources are chewed up for profit. Possibly the later generations striving for individuality though existing media? Maybe the dope motors of the 20's will make a comeback as oil reserves are depleted.
